	Assembly Process and Material Specs Type 404V stainless steel is used for the spoke material. This SS has what is known in the steel industry as an extra bright finish and is typically used in the manufacture of dental braces. The finish is comparable to chrome. Type 404 stainless steel is used for the spoke nipples. This SS has a bright finish and is used in the manufacture of hypodermic tubing. The finish is still very shiny but not quite as shiny as the "V" series. This tubing can only be cut using a cut off saw and then each end must be deburred to allow proper tolerances for the spoke and rim interference fit. Chroming is professionally done and utilizes the triple chrome process. This meaning that it is a three step process of copper, followed by nickel, and then chrome. By comparison Pocher uses nickel which results in a much duller finish.
